At Valerian Entertainment, we ADORE nature themed acts, we love to add a touch of magic and create experiences that are truly captivating and that can also be educational! Providing up close and personal experiences with our acts can really help narratively with your event concepts, educate and also simply create memorable experiences that really help the message to soak in.

We have an abundance of acts to suit a variety of events but we’ve picked out our favourite acts to promote greener events and ways of living.

Our top nature based acts 2020:

1 – TUNDRA THE POLAR BEAR

Tundra the Polar Bear is an adorable, fully mobile creature with the fluffiest of coats! She’s friendly, she’s inquisitive and she an incredible addition to any event where you want to represent the needs of animals, the importance of looking after our environment, the preservation of Antarctica or anything else you could possibly need an animatronic polar bear for. The ice caps are melting but we can make a change and educate through these captivating creations! Tundra comes with a guardian character with the option of an educational zoo keeper/conservationist/arctic explorer.

2 – TREE WALKERS

These majestic stilt walking trees are fully mobile, they walk around, their twiggy fingers move, and their canopies are truly realistic. This enchanting duo really are the top tree themed entertainment in the UK. These Tree Walkers have a high level of attention to detail with fabulous finishing touches all over, from their little toadstool shoulders to each individual flower and berry throughout the entire costumes. With the constant decline of the rainforests and all types of woodland and trees all over the world, this act really can raise awareness at events through the beauty of performance and costume. Meet Sweet Pea! This little fairy is full of fun and mischief! She likes to sneak glitter on people and hide in their bags.

This captivating fairy trio provide love, laughs and plenty of mischief. They are utterly entertaining in their own nature however they also have a very special little skill. Did you know?..

Jumbo was actually a real elephant in the early 1900s owned by PT Barmnum himself! He was called Jumbo because of his overwhelming size! He worked many years as a circus elephant and was loved by all. Modern day we’ve found a new level of respect for these majestic creatures. As a result, we’ve now found a cruelty free way to remember and experience these fantastic beasts without harming them! Animatronic and puppet based animals are definitely the way forward.

.. Eco Tips!

We’ve got some tips to help you make your event greener and more sustainable all round. We do hundreds of events every year and we’ve picked up some top tips along the way that we’d love to share with you! Simple steps make a HUGE difference.

1 – DITCH THE PAPER

The world is digital nowadays and there’s really no need to waste so much paper! You can use emails, apps and other digital tools. If you really need to use paper – opt to use recycled!

2 – OFFER RECYCLING

One of the easiest things you can do is simply provide opportunities to recycle at your event! Not only this but you can go a little further and do things such as ban single use plastic bottles, only allow compostable dining materials and make sure you have plenty of refillable water points around your event.

3 – COMPOSTING TIOLETS

Compostable toilets are fantastic! They save on water and they don’t use any chemicals – what more could you ask for from a toilet?

4 – ENCOURAGE PUBLIC TRANSPORT

As we all know cars are a major contributor the environmental damage. City Councils are very keen to hear from events and partner up in offering transport discount for attendees. Alternatively you can offer incentive for car sharing.

5 – USE SOLAR ENERGY

Solar energy is a the way of the future! It’s totally sustainable and the sun will always keep shining! When choosing a venue for your event take into consideration solar venues or look into other alternative energy sources. We understand this can be limiting but always always something to consider when possible.

6 – USE LED LIGHTING

Always opt for LED bulbs! They require less power, create less heat and they last much longer! This will immediately decrease your creation of greenhouse gases. Not only this but they don’t contain any toxic elements so when they’re disposed, they’re not adding any further toxic waste.

7 – INSPIRE SUSTAINBLE PRACTICES

Choose activities at your event that doesn’t require energy! From creative workshops and physical workshops to recycling projects, trash art and more! Creating sculptures from recycling trash is a good example of combining these elements.
